strangely I have a new one...here it is..After i've installed it mysql and configured it through the sql tool, I've also configured my Mangos and Realmd.conf files. Ive read and re-read them nothing abnormal.
When I run them I get a Windows error "C:\wowserv\mangod.exe" This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Strange any ideas please?

This is for those that don't know
I've played around with the DB to see if I can get the proficiencies, starting inventory, etc to be normal.
the DB to play with are in the world db. They are:
playercreateinfo_action -> I Think this is what starts in your action belt??
playercreateinfo_item -> Items each character starts with
playercreateinfo_spell -> spells and armour/weapon proficiencies for each character upon creation.Because I don't know what all the settiongs are to make it normal; I grabbed the sql db's from a 2.0.10 server I was playing with and replaced them with this awesome repack.
Restarted the server and voila! things are back to normal I've uploaded the sql files I'm using for the above mentioned tables to my webserver. You can download them here:

wow, 3 in a row for me woot! lol
I have a problem with my server. I have a friend that wants to join. He's created an account and can succesfully auth on my server. He logs in, and gets the realmlist up, when he chooses the realm it loops back to the realmlist.
So he is stuck on an endless realmlist loop hehe. I cant figure out why. I have everything pointing to my lan ip 192.168.75.99, my firewalls are off and I can see the ports from canyouseeme.org.
The ports I'm using are 37240 - realmd and 48085 - for world.I've set my realmlist.wtf to use my external ip and i can connect with no probs.
The only thing I can think of atm is to change all the ip's in the conf files to my live ip.
I shall try that tomorrow.Can anyone else think of anything??

Only that part ae I doubt I'm in! because in the previous version came with the "phpMyAdmin" and this part, I lost the middle where I put the data base ..
If anyone knows of other programs that I need and if it pass me their names?

from what I can make out Cristiano, you're having problems connecting to the database and you don't have phpMyAdmin installed.
Do you have mysql installed??
a good program to use if you dont want to install phpmyadmin is SQLYog.after you have mysql installed, you need to create a user with all permissions and a set a password to it (or set a password to the root user and use it)
once that is done you need to import the sql files (this is where SQLYog comes in) after the sql files are imported you jsut need to change the ralmd.conf and mangosd.conf files to reflect your databse username, password, and db name.

WOOT!!
I got it, the realmlist loop was because I'd overlooked the realmlist db - it was still pointing to a local ip, I changed it to my external one and voila everything is working...... though the npc's don't seem to attack any players - the gurads do though :S lol

Posts: 3Hi there, just working on reverting a few things in your repack to something im a little more used to and ive hit a wall, i cant for the life of me figure out the id of the pillars you have the class trainers standing on in the starting areas, even if i could just get the name i would be able to find the id...
Any help would be much appreciated, oh and just out of curiosity does anyone know of a dev addon available that will tell me the id of an object/npc i click on?

No problems, remember to post your findings for all of us to see, even if you think its somthing simple, someone else might be having the same problems
For instance - if anyone knows how to make the portals to gm island and the gm commands only visible to gms and above, can you let me know?? in the meantime, ill keep probing the database
also as hn0mad mentioned the tower things are another thing I'd like to get rid of hehe or keep every second one

This was because i was testing it on a Virtual machine and didn't have .net framework installed.

I'm not sure it does, when i worked on my install it came up with incorrect version errors for the maps when running mangos.exe
Anyway dl the update to 3.09, it adds a few good features.

got it it was in the characters table in the character database, i had a bad version.
The problem was that while trying to upgrade my characters I had used a different version of a 3.09 repack, it caused me to create a character but with the error in bgid it couldn't record the character and save it. I just replaced my entire character DB with a proper Pryd version, the one mentioned in this big topic.

Then: account set addon <account_name> 2 //This makes it a wotlk acct

What hn0mad said will work.... but try typing anything into the server window when you have afew people connected and playing...... not so easy hehehe
The easiest way is to set up an apache server with php and use the web interface.
I'm using xampp because I like it - but wamp is just as good and probably simpler to setupYou've already install mysql so an apache server with php would be the next step.
The web interface that comes with this repack is really good. As it says, not for look, its for functionality, but the looks are pretty decent too. All you have to do then is create an account through the webserver.
Also if you set yourself to GM level 5 you'll be a SYSOP which is the highest level from what I can see Have fun....

HI.
I just installed 7301. Perfect (some small glitches but nothing I could not fix ingame). My question is that I am trying to make a blizzlike. I want to get rid of all the mounts that the player starts with as well as the riding skill and other starting skills (this repack starts the player off with a ton of goodies and skills I want to get rid of that and assign them as rewards). I fixed the bags so that they just get what they normally start with and not with all those nice goodies. How do I get rid of all the mounts (riding or otherwise) and the skill level back to normal. I checked the playercreateinfo_xxx and none of them have anything (except items. which i took care of).

question has been answered bro, read page one of the posts, and yes it works, tried and tested, im doing something similar myself, if ya figure out how to get rid of the podiums the trainer npc's are on let me know, so far as i can tell there not a game object at all, which leaves me with a wierd problem, i can delete the object that stops you walking through them but i cant for the life of me figure out how to get rid of those podiums, i get that this is a fun server, dont really intend on changing that much but those podiums are everywhere and im going rabid tryna figure out how to obliterate them... Im starting to wonder if there part of the maps, but i cant imagine someone changing the maps (not the easiest task) just to have a few podiums around the place. once i have figured out how to strip the podiums out and have relocated the trainers ill post a couple .sql's to make the changes for everyone else who seems to be tryna make this more blizzlike.
Also i have made a few edits to the events db to stop it loading double mailboxes and so forth due to the fact that nearly every event is starting as soon as you fire up the server, this is an easy fix people just change the start dates in the game_events db to be something later than the current date, or set them to all 0's if you want to turn the event off completely. like I said .sql's inc.
Oh and, thanks Pryd, awsome repack dude.

I took out the podiums where ever I saw them in my latest release. They are actually NPCS, when .gm is on they are sometimes selectable. Anyhow the Collision-PC was also a pain, I took them out as well in the latest repack.
Also with events you can go in game and do a .event stop 1-29.

if you havent found an answer yet to find the npc info just
click on npc to highlight them (works on mobs as well) and type .npc infoobjects are a little weird.
type type .gobject target "name"
