Hello All,

Well I had checked the downloads of my last pack and it seems like a few people downloaded it so I am going to release my latest pack.

This server supports WOTLK 3.0.9 Client (9551).
This is Mangos 7308 w/ ScriptDev 896 & ACID 007 rev. 26
The actual database is a combination of YTDB & a few (manual UDB query fixes)

I have included the extractor tools because if you are updating from my last repack Mangos 7227 then you will need new maps, vmaps, and dbc files. I did not include the SQL updates because I'm including full databases and I really don't want any confusion. If you find that you want the Mangos SQL updates say to just update your database, feel free to grab them from the GitHub for Mangos.

Also there was an issue with Mini Manager for Project Mangos in the last repack so I also am including Mini Manager once again. The timeout error has been dealt with so it should not happen anymore.

Lastly this server is more geared towards funserver elements. If you find that you don't like any part of it, please feel free to change it as you see fit. Especially the playercreateinfo_spells and playercreateinfo_items. I did edit a few mounts and threw in some portals, and semi-finished vendors.

hey, i just tried this out and when running mangosd.exe i get this:

Loading MaNGOS strings...
==================================================== 100%
>> Loaded 0 mangos strings. DB table mangos_string is empty. Cannot continue.

i have imported the .sql files, but maybe ive done it wrong.
how should the database structure look like? 1 database per .sql file right?

Yes each sql belongs to a different database. I've tested this repack a few times restoring/importing through SQLyog. When I do that there are 744 entries within mangos_string.

Let me know if ya have anymore issues

ive mustve done somthing wrong first time i imported, worked fine now. server up and running, made an account.
but now to another problem: i cannot log in with the account ive made. it just says the information is not valid.

in the config.wtf file i had some problem with setting the realmlist to 127.0.0.1, cause it reseted everytime i started wow, but i made the file "read-only". and now it doesnt reset. maybe that has something to do with the problem?
i also edited the server to MaNGOS btw.

i did something wrong again.. haha edited the wrong realmlist file. the right one was located at data/enGB/realmlist.wtf

Great to hear that you got it working Ramo & My pleasure.

I found a patch for YTDB that I'm currently testing.. it supposedly solves some in game issues. If it does in time I'll re-release another pack since it possibly could be better.

good repack, only thing missing now is the death knight quests. Am looking around myself for that to see if i can find a file for it. If so want me to post it up or send it to ya? cause I would not know how to incorporate it correctly.

I would love that and if supplied will apply it and release an updated repack. I would also like to say that I did find an update for YTDB and the patch worked flawlessly and fixed many things which I'm still checking. So I will have to release that soon for the public.

The next release will be some version of Mangos 7314 and above.

Ok I have been trying to get this one to run but i always do something wrong. I have seen this guys server and it looks like most of the death knight quests are there, but the server he runs is kind of buggy. Maybe you can down load what he has and see what you can come up with? here is a link to his compiles.

Hmm downloaded that file.. it's just a core with sql updates, but no full database. Shrug, oh well I tried. Let me know if anyone has a better database then the one I supply which I'll gladly use.

hi i extracted all of the maps and vmaps but im not used to not having a mangos application like in the reaper repacks. do i use the cmd prompt to run the server? if so what is the cmd to start the server if my data dir is C:\wow

The commands are the Shinijiearth you have to go into the command sql database and change all the level 4's to 3's so that your Gm account can use them. your GM account is level 3 and the database thinks that .die and othes are level 4. but there is no level 4 so you need to just change then to 3. I thinnik the command sql database is in the mangos folder or realmd. I am at work right now so I cannot look to be sure. You navicat or SQLyog to open the databases up. Thanks Wrath

If you data directory is c:\wow then you have to make the change in the Mangosd.conf file. there is a spot in there where you need to change the data dir to c:\wow. Should look like this...

i changed the dir on the conf file yes but when i try to run realmd.exe and mangosd.exe i get a error that says "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect.please see the application event log for more details.

So I tried to run realmd
and I get

Hi, i'm getting this error when i try to run mangosd:
WORLD: VMap config keys are: vmap.enableLOS, vmap.enableHeight, vmap.ignoreMapIds, vmap.ignoreSpellIds
Map file './maps/0004331.map' is non-compatible version (outdated?). Please, create new using ad.exe program.
Correct *.map files not found in path './maps' or *.vmap/*vmdir files in './vmaps'. Please place map/*.vmap/*.vmdir files in appropriate directories or correct the DataDir value in the mangosd.conf file.

I've run ad.exe and the makevmaps on my wow dir and moved maps and vmaps to mangos dir.
Mangos.conf has data dir set to "."

What am i doing wrong ?

That is the issue, your data Dir needs to be set to the path that your maps, DBC and VMAPS are at. ex. data dir "c:\wow\data". replace c:\data\wow to the folder yours are located. thanks wrath

Very well done, pryd. This is a fantastic server.

I do find the additional racial abilities (everybody having regeneration, dual-wield, etc) irritating though. How do I modify the database to change those characteristics?

Hello,

Many thanks for this great package

one question :

the Database has been modified with the following

- Items automatically added to invent on new player
- characters can use chain armors even if the class should not allow it (ex : druid)
- Racial bonus set to all races

Is there a way to remove this or at least a simple explanation of the db table / script name performing thos changes to revert my instance to a "normal" server ?

I'd also like to know how to make it a 'normal' server

I have one problem happening though - im updated to 3.0.9. When I go to create a new character the Blood Elf and Draenei are greyed out, when the mouse hovers over them it says requires the burning crusade.

I'm stumped on what to do with it, can you upgrade to 3.0.9 without TBC??

When you creatre an account on the server, by default it doesn't give your account any expansions. Try the following command from the server command prompt:

account set addon %accountname% 2

That should give you WOTLK permissions. Use the number 1 instead if you're only after BC.

If you don't have WOTLK installed, your client might not have all the maps the server requires for WOTLK content. Go into mangosd.conf, find server settings, and change Expansion to 1. That will limit the server to BC content, and won't try to load WOTLK maps.

I had a similar problem after I emptied out my mysql database before installing a new mangos database. The problem is that there is a mysql database which is put in on install that I deleted as well, which mysql uses for a wide variety of things.

Try running the Server Instance Config Wizard again and see if that replaces the mysql database. If it doesn't, you'll probably have to uninstall and reinstall mysql.
