Hey, I have to say: Nice Tutorial and Explanation for the Server Setup!
I followed your Tut about how to set up a Private WoW Server,
All working fine.. But my PC can connect to the PC were it runs on..
but others outside my network cant connect, what to do?
is Hamachi an Option? ( Prefer not, just by IP is faster and Easier )

I forwarded the ports ( 3724 / 8085 ), my Webserver ports etc are going through
everyone can see my website and join my Teamspeak, but with the WoW Server none
    can connect..

    any suggestions?

actually i prefer not to use hamachi :D

as for your question, it seems that you'll need to change the port used by realmd into another port

try using port 7000 (open realmd.conf and search for 3724 and replace it into another value)

also when you've changed the realmd port into another value, you'll need to tell others who are trying to connect to your server to use something like this in their realmlist.wtf file

    yourservername:yourrealmdport

for example if you're using port 7000

    yourservername:7000

as a note, make sure the realmlist address in mysql is the same as your servername / server ip you're using otherwise others are going to stuck in realm loop (and also change the port forward from 3724 into the other value you set)

I edited the Realmd Ports to 7000, but they cant connect.. what can it be?
    what is it ? >.<

Would say see for yourself: 213.10.247.178:7000
i think this is strange, cause it lets my other ports through ( 80,21 etc)
but not the ports used by WoW it seems.

When i use a Online / Offline script it says both Online.. hmmm
    ( http://hosting05.ath.cx/wow-private/status.php )
When i go to this page i see " Accepting connection from '213:10.247.178:1257 ( Random Port )
coming up, so thats is good sign.

could you tell me what ip address is used on your realmlist ip address ? (mysql data) or you could also try running free online port scanner to see whether port 7000 also get blocked by something or not :)

Somehow its my router that keeps blocking the WoW Traffic, we setup a private
wow server on a friends pc and forwarded the ports and all worked.. so maybe its
just an configuration of our router, ill keep trying ;)

you need to edit the realmd database so where id=1 the address=your internal ip address , like 192.168.1.2 if you got a router, if no router (jsut a cable modem) put your outsiade ip (you said it was 213.10.247.17 8) make sure the port is right too cause the wow client has to know how to connect to it

I am having the same issue. With the ports, in your router config try to find something called port range triggering and fill in the port in all fields in one line eg put 8085 in each field on line 1. This opened my ports, also have a look in your hosts file you should have a line somewhere which includes

your lan ip your dns name

    and possibly

    127.0.0.1 your dns name

Apart from that good luck to both of us (personally im going to try a different port and maybe setting up a dns that connects to my lan ip..not sure how though)
