Outdated DBC files and Version Issues

I have been trying to set up my mangos private server and have been running into some issues. I think most of them stem from reverting to previous patches. I managed to get to patch 2.4.1, but I get an error message when trying to update to 2.4.2.

I assumed that 2.4.1 should work with mangos, but whenever I try and run mangosd.exe, I get to initializing data stores and it tells me that I have outdated DBC files. Does anyone know of a work around for the error message I get when trying to update to 2.4.2? Or alternatively, a way to update DBC files without patching.

    Here is the error:

"The patch "enUS-hdfiles\Data\enUS\Credits.html" could not be applied. (Invalid source file size: expected 29722, actual 29440.) If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. Edit: I actually figured it out, I copied the DBC folder from my mangos download and it worked. I did not realize I was supposed to do this.

However, I still run into issues while trying to log into the server. I am getting a version mismatch error. Do I absolutely need to be running 2.4.2?

Sadly, I am still getting that error when I try to upgrade past 2.4.1 to 2.4.2 :/

Google has no info about the error either. I guess I will just have to wait for a new version of mangos to be released, or try and reinstall WoW.

i'd say just try and reinstall wow.
just make sure you don't go past 2.4.3 on the auto patcher.
