NPC Teleporter

   Greetings!

   I've been working on my own Teleporter guy, but It never works as it should.
   Any suggest about the easiest way of making one?

   I have seen NPC Teleporters on other servers. They work very well. They somehow combine the quest method with a teleport location so when you click on the location/quest it simply ports you there. This seems simple enough and can probably be done easily I would think.....I'm just not experienced enough to do it. I will play with MySQL Admin and Quice tonight and look at the data to see if I can find a way for this to work.

   If anyone else has an idea or has successfully attempted creating one please share your info if you would.

   Well I got one working atm, a quest you can take over and over again which teleports you to a specific location!

   Great, would it be possible for you to provide some information as to what you did to make that happen? I have actually got the portals to work. So Im not in dire need but the teleporter NPC will be great for various locations and will make for much easier placment of transport.

   For the portals I basically used the shattrath class portals for places like Ironforge, Darnassus, Exodar and others. The one that gave me so much grief was trying to get the Portal to Shattrath working. Everytime I would spawn this portal and try to use it nothing would happen. When I would mouse over the portal the tool tip would show Portal to Shattrath but right underneath it was the word "Locked". Now the word Locked is still there on mouse over but the portal now works properly....lol and the funny thing is Im not exactly sure what setting I changed that made it work...lmao

   Well NPC teleporter is up and running on arcane fire. Im using it to teleport to various instances. Works very well. Was also able to get some portals to work as well. So I had a good weekend...lol

   Maybe if we can make a NPC like the one in Shattrat who teleport u at CoT when u r exalted with lower city (blizz server) ll be the best way... or ... better, for a selecting list of different place, the first NPC in Karazhan who can teleport u at Shade boss by clicking a menu !!! well, if someone can tell us the sql value to put in npc to create one ... ll be great ... ty !

   I can do this I think, so far I have 6 portals and 1 teleporter npc in working order. Using scripts on the tele porter works very well. Quice is a god send for quick work.

   I will try to post portal configs. The thing thats aggravating is I cannot remove the word locked! I got the portals to work but the tooltip on mouse over still shows locked...lol just a minor oversight I guess....lol

   Also, you can spawn shattrath portals anywhere and they work by default, you shouldnt have to monkey with those.

    Testing various combinations and scripts, I have also created a non-gm test account which I will be creating various characters to level through under normal fashion. I want to iron out what bugs are plauging us.

    Hey bro,

    Sorry for the delay, work has kept me on the edge the last couple of days and unfortunatley I havent been able to do much. Will try my best to get you and SQL script for the NPC out by tomorrow evening.
