Newbie, starting server. Advice needed.

   Hi there people!

   Okay, first off i just want to let you guys know that i hav'nt done this before. I've been doing alot of research and i simply lost my self in the masses of releases and guides. And yes i have also been doing some searching for topics about this, but it came negative.

   So if anyone could throw me a lifeline where to begin that would be awesome! Also what kind of releases should i use? And what is this Arcane-Fire i've seen around?

   My needs are as following. I would like WoW + TBC and ''oatmans WOTLK revision'' and are these even compatibale with eachother? Does anyone have a graceous heart as to help me get started on this i would be very pleased! Thanks in advance!

   You can compile all needed to set up a server yourself, or you can use a repack of genius that release them (hehe. then once you have all needed files you must set them up on your comp

   Arcane Fire is the Reaper-x Website Release Before Oatmans wotlk. Yes You can play on a wotlk server even if you only have burning crusade but wotlk options just would not be available. Such as you can play on a burning crusade server if you do not have the expansion but bc options are not available to you. So It's really a personal choice which to go with.

   Hi september, thanks for the answer.

   But what releases should i use? Specifically? Like the newsts most stable build and so forth? And what are these files that i need to compile? You're making me comfused.

   Okay, let me make it easier for you guys. What release is the newest? Mangos i believe it's called. Newest and most stable?

   Is the latest stable release. There is the Oatman's WOTLK release which is working, but its alpha / beta release so bugs are not just likely, but promised.
