Need help with server website

    I have made a server website but i can only go on it local, would anyone be able to help me with this, i tryd every ip but nobady seem to connect, but they can connect to the server with the same ip

    Can you connect to your site when you enter your global IP in your browser?

    i can but nobady els can, even used a DNS maybe one of you guys could try and connect jeffreyx000.no-ip.biz

    Cant connect. Are you behind a router/modem with firewall? and have you forwarded the ports used by your webserver?

    i dont have a router, just a ethernet switch firewall is shut off atm and what do you meen by forwarding ports? i know its the port 80 but since i dont have a router i cant do that

    Some ISP denied the access from outside by port 80. Some rent webspace to them customer ... Try with your webhost program to use port 8080 or another to check if you can access by outside without port 80 !

    oh btw, to access to your webserver by outside with another port, just type it at the end of the url .. like

    http://123.456.789.0/index.html:8080

    78.20.28.32 this is my ip btw where its being hosted so try out 78.20.28.32:80
    78.20.28.32:8080 i dont know, im stuck its really frustrating

    or maybe sombady could remote acces my computer to see whats wrong thx

    I assume you are using apache? Did you edit your httpd.conf file to use port 8080?

    i use pache and did edit the config, when i edited it i couldnt use :80 anymore, had to use :8080 its now set to :80 again, pitje, if you want you canr emote acces my pc

    Im afraid i dont know apache very well yet, but i expect that to change in rather short notice (weeks). + there isnt anything i cant let you do from here that you cant do yourself.

    Im not hosting anything yet :p but will be using apache+PHP. But anyway, does apache need to be configured to host on a specific IP (thought it had to) and did you config that?

    okay i just found out my provider blocks outgoin port 80 and 8080 is there a way that i can change that to a port lets say 81 or 8181? thats the only wy ppl can acces my webby

    that my new webby, it worked lol i rock!
    i just changed the port from :80 to :25001
    that you have it for a dutch telenet users just use a different port then :80 :8080 and you will be fine

    no idea, how can i check the banwidth? i know i can upload 60gigs a month and download 60gigs also i tihnk thats what u ment
