   I'm getting this error when i try to execute realmd.exe and mangosd.exe

   "2008-04-14 22:43:08 World Database: 127.0.0.1;3306;mangos;mangos;mangos
   2008-04-14 22:43:09 ERROR:Could not connect to MySQL database at 127.0.0.1: Can't connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' (10061)

   2008-04-14 22:43:09 ERROR:Cannot connect to world database 127.0.0.1;3306;mangos;mangos;mangos"

   Any thoughts?

   you probably either didn't type in your root password right when setting it up, or typed in the name of your databases wrong in the config...that's what i'd guess anyway

   Thanks, i seem to have fixed that error, but now I'm getting a new one!

   You have _outdated_ DBC files. Please exstact correct versions from current using client."

   Seems that your version of Reaper-x MangOS and the version of WoW you extracted the files from don't match. be sure your NOT running 2.4. The newest Reaper-X MangOS is compatible with WoW 2.3.3.7799. Reinstalling may be necessary. Links for patches, since Blizzard took the old ones down, and made 2.4 an all-in-one.

   Thanks for the links.

   Is there any way i can use a mangos revision that's compatible with WOW v1.12.1? in other words, can i change the revision of mangos that i'm using, rather than change teh version of WOW?

   Hmmm... Check the main site, use the Google tool from the homepage, and search for "Classic WoW server" I believe it was 1.12.1 compatible, if it's still posted.

   Awesome, thanks a lot. I'm new to the 'creating your own private server' thing (obviously). I also haven't played WOW since 1.12.1 so that'd be a HUGE patch to d/l from bliz.
