Mangos Custom Character Startup

   Hello,
   Ive been using mangos for several days now and it works great, easy install, no bugs or nothing, just great. There's just one thing i want to do, add an item to people's backpack when they create a new char, or have every new char recieve an email with an item. I can't figure out how to do this. I can't even add items to people's inventory sing the database (can do it with .additem) so im hoping anyone can help me out?
