I have downloaded and setup everything but I am running into an issue with the MPQE Extraction tool.. for some reason I don't have the DBC.mpq file it is looking for therefor not being able to extract the DBC Files. I have attempted several game resintalls but still haven't had any luck.. I have been looking around the internet for the DBC Files already extracted or the dbc.mpq file for 3.0.8. All I have been able to do is find outdated versions/files. Any chance I can get that up'd or a link to where I can get the file(s) from.

Hey I downloaded the verion 7227 and I cant figure out which conf to use that works. I ran the ad.exe and Vmap creator and put them in c:\data]wow and then configured the conf file in the main directory to point to the c:\data\wow and then when I run the mangosd.exe it says something about the vmaps and then hangs up. any idea which conf file I should configure. Or did I miss a step. I didnt get very much time to look at it before my electric went out. pLease let me know. THanks wrath.

Though there are many configs with that Mangos repack, I only use mangos.conf, realmd.conf, scriptdev2.conf. Also make sure that in your C:\Mangos it should look like this "C:\Mangos\data" Inside C:\Mangos\data which will contain your Maps from the Ad.exe as well as the DBC extracted. BTW ad.exe should be run in the Main World of Warcraft folder.. the lowest level.
The vmaps are generated in World of Warcraft's enUS example C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\Data\enUS. This part can take a long time extracting maps then combining vmaps.. don't close that command prompt too soon!. Within my C:\Mangos\data I normally have Maps, Vmaps, Buildings and the DBC files. I like to keep my resources together though I have heard that we really don't even need Vmaps to run the server.
I will upload the DBC files to filebeam then anyone having issues getting just the DBC can at least grab em here.
Hope this helps! Let me know if ya run into any more issues.

I dont have any issue I believe getting the AD.exe ran. That part is fine I can get the maps and building and DBC files. However when I run the Vmap utility in the c:\program files\world of warcraft\data\enus directory is goes through the install like it is suppose to and it takes a while but at the very end it says something about split.txt file error. and creates the VMAP folder without any data in it.
When I run the mangosd.exe says something to the fact that a certain VMAP file is missing and that I should put .vmaps .map. dbc in the certain directory.
I went into the config file and have changed all the settings to reflect the correct information. I have my maps and everything in the c:\data\wow. Im sure using that path is ok as long as the .conf file refelcts that.
also I noticed a mcharacters sql file and I created that in my sql and then imported it. Im sure that is the correct way. I imported all the databases after I created the database name in MYSQL or SQLYOG. The weird part I was noticing is the use of the sql mcharacters but no biggie.
Antoher question I have is in your extraction tools you sent is it possible that the vmap extractor is the wrong one? There are 5 files in the extraction. AD.exe and the 4 vmap files. Just checking one of the old installs from reaper the arcane fire repack there is one file in there calle spilt config.txt that goes with the VMAP install. Maybe that is what im missing.
Please let me know
Thanks Wrath

@ Wrath,
Inside the splitConfig.txt should look like this.
# list of map names
509 #AhnQiraj
469 #BlackwingLair
189 #MonasteryInstances
030 #PVPZone01
037 #PVPZone02
033 #Shadowfang
533 #Stratholme Raid
209 #TanarisInstance
309 #Zul'gurub
560 #HillsbradPast
534 #HyjalPast
532 #Karazahn
543 #HellfireRampart
568 #ZulAman
564 #BlackTemple
Hope this helps and extremely sorry about not putting that in there
. Good news is I'm working on installing another repack for 3.0.9. Extracting maps / vmaps etc atm. Unfortunately I don't have a Mangos 3.0.9.., going to try ArcEmu as it supposedly supports the new patch. Will let you know how it works out.

k i have everything extracted but am not totally sure on how to install it manualy. do i just import using navicat?
Posted 9 months ago » Permalink
(hit send to soon) also how would i go about setting up the cinfig on this as there is a folder with configs besides the other two not in the folder.
Posted 9 months ago » Permalink
You only need to setup the 3 main configs in your C:\Mangos , mangos.conf, realmd.conf, scriptdev2.conf. You can get rid of all the others if you like, they are backups. Though the restarter.conf is also a keeper

ok so i don't need to set it up or anything like with the repacks? or do i still need to import everything?

Hey I noticed on your server as well as mine (Got mine running by the way and it was the splitconfig.txt file, thanks) that in the main cities there are these collumns with trainers on top of them. Is that something new in the actuall game or is that something you have created. I havent played the retail wow so i wouldnt know. Thanks wrath. Also I would like to know how to set up the minimanager account creation page. Do I use WAMP or something else you suggest? Please let me know if you got time how I can load that step by step. Thanks

Hey Pryd ever get the 3.0.9 patch up and running. I am having some issue I think with the scriptdev2 databse. Lots of errors or empty databases when I run mangos.exe If I figure it out I will let you know.
Posted 9 months ago » Permalink
Mangos 3.0.9 is up and running for me! Woot. Ok so you'll need to update your mangos core to 7298 and redo your maps, vmaps, dbc.
File beam is not allowing guests so for a rare amount of time i'll let ppl download the core, and sql updates that they need oh and the tools. You gotta use the dbc from Mangos 7227 pack.. as I'm having issues creating a working sql dump.
Come get these new MAngos files at http://prydevserver.dyndns.org/forum/
And with the errors.. they are fixable as my server core loads 100% no errors. But you gotta use your wits and do your best to fix em manually. If you try updates from say UDB it'll make things worse.

The only thing that I am confused on is the importing of the SQl files. There are 2 folders with SQL files with that says mangos and one that says Scriptdev2. The magos folder I can import the sql just fine and I believe that is the first step. the scriptdev2 folder I guess I am suppose to import the 2 scriptdev2 files but what about the other file mangos_full_ scipts.txt should I import it as well. All the files whether the mangos folder or sciptdev2 seem very small according to the 7227 database files. Please let me know the steps to get this update if you dont mind. thanks wrath.

Oh wait let me know id I got this correct. Add mangos sql's (characters, mangos and realmd) to th edatabase first them ass the scriptdev2 ones including the mangos_full_script.sql. and then add the acid 0.0.7 updates the mangos one and the scritpdev2. after that readd the mangos_full_scripts.sql file and then I am done? Let me know if this sounds right. The weird part is that the SQl files are small. the 7227 pack you gave me the mangos sql was around 200MB and that is what I'm struggling with is the size differences. when I get home tonight I will try the order I just stated unless you say diffenretly by then. thanks Wrath

Man i cannot type lol guess i should have proof read first.
Posted 9 months ago » Permalink
@ Wrath -No worries
Yes the 200mb database is the full thing. When you look inside the mangos sql updates you only need to update like 7330 scripts and above since the last one we were using was 7227 it includes everything from before that time. Also with scriptdev you'll have to check what version we started at.. which in that last database I'd say it's safe to update from 838 and beyond in the scriptdev_sql_updates.
So once again, you only need to update your mangos database with files higher than the last revision we were using. So if you want to use mangos 7298 from 7227 then just make sure to restore / import everything between those numbers inside the sql update folder.
The database I gave with 7227 mind you is full of data.
The mangos_sql_updates normally are just table adjustments that is why they are so small. Plus it's used to update the database so that the core can read it properly.
I hope this helps, I'll be around if ya need nething.

Do I need to apply the acid 0.0.7 updates? Ok let me get this correct when I get home tonight and I am running 7227 I should probably delete it and update my wow to 3.0.9. After that redo the maps,DBC and Vmaps. After that open the new download you gave us and load my sql fresh. then install the sql up dates in the Magos updates folder and then the scriptdev2 folder. Should I do the acid import as well? at this point there should be no loading of the update folder becasue I will be at the most up to date I believe. Thanks for the help wrath
Posted 9 months ago » Permalink
Oh also I copied the scriptdev2.conf file from the 7227 installation. Is that ok, I thought it probably wont matter. thanks again wrath
Posted 9 months ago » Permalink
Nod, I didn't see any changes in the config files therefore I didn't put them in. Also I'm having issues creating a sql dump of my database that can be re-imported otherwise I would add that into the repack. I wonder if anyone has an idea of a program that will create a correct sql dump.. Been trying with my SQLyog and Heidisql.. but no luck.
Posted 9 months ago » Permalink
Have you tried Navicat?
Posted 9 months ago » Permalink
I use Navicat and I was able to dump the SQl with it. Thanks wrath. Also can you read up a couple posting about the acid updates and comment on it.
Posted 9 months ago » Permalink
Thanks Wrath
I just tried Navicat, works like a charm. Will make a new repack w/ my DBC updated included etc if ppl want, that way the only thing ppl have to update is vmaps, maps and the dbc folder.
Posted 9 months ago » Permalink
Sweet sounds good and I will be looking forward to it. Thanks wrath
Posted 9 months ago » Permalink
Oh just to let you know there is a update inside the sql update folder that says for 7299 mangos pools. after eveything is setup should we just import that SQL into the mysql to update it? thanks wrath
Posted 9 months ago » Permalink
Yes, sorry I suppose my latest pack is actually 7300. My apologies.
Posted 9 months ago » Permalink
No biggie is that still the 3.0.9 wow? If so should we just add the updates to the 7299 after we get the repack?
