Well, I was asking if there is any where in his code, that you can change to make people who play on the 2.4.2 client be able to play on the server, with out getting that pesky, error.. stating wrong version.. any help would be very helpful.

Even mangos doesn't support 2.4.2 yet, so no. You'll have to wait for mangos to release their 2.4.2 support client and then wait for reaper to compile it.

If you compile your own mangos you can edit the AuthCodes.h file line 71 It will allow you to connect with the 2.4.2 client but I cant garenty that it won't be buggy because I myself am waiting for mangos to support it.

Simply put... you cant. All you haft to do is..
goto your WoW folder, and delete "wow.exe"
then goto repair... then your good to go, just try to log in using any account name and password, when trying to connect to retail servers, you will get an update.. then get that update.. you should now be at 2.3.0. just google the rest of the quick patches.

Easiest way to rollback is pretty simple provided you have plenty of HD space.

I keep 3 redundant copies of WoW on my drives and a backup of the most current on a 500gb backup drive. One version of my pristine (Paid For) 1.8.0 a version of 2.3.3 and the latest patched up 2.4.2.

Pretty much saves those download issues as I also keep the entire suite of patch files on the backup drive.

This is assuming you can afford to store around 50gb (MAX) of preinstalls & patches which at todays HD prices should be easy.

WOW will run happily from ANY directory no matter where the original was installed.
