Do You need a DNS Name?

   Just a question, when making a Public WoW Server, do you really need to have a DNS name setup? cant you just use your Lan IP and External IP address? If you have to have a DNS name setup, how come? Im really having trouble setting up my Public WoW Server, any help would be greatly appreciated.

   The dns name as far as I know is just if you don't have a static ip address. Most people just have a dynamic address wich means there actual ip address will eventually change. The dns name services like "no-ip" is a way to sync your ip when it changes to your dns name provided by the service. So by using your dns name you never have to worry if your address changes.
