    Greetings!

Im going to upgrade one of my realms to patch 3.0.2,
Everything is working like I planed, mallet transfered, and much more.

BUT.. I cant get the old characters from patch 2.4.3 to work with 3.0.2.
I've tried to backup and import the old data to to the new character tables,
but I always get the same answer from mangos when I try to start the realm.

Well the realm is starting, but in the logs I can find that all old characters cant be loaded, since I get the message "data" for player #51662 is broken.

I've tried to repair the tables since it says that its broken, but according to mysql it isnt broken, and I can open it and explore it like normal :S.

any ide what I should look for? will write more about it, but in a hurry atm.

Your gonna have to update your character database manually. When you did a fresh install/updater, most likely it did not upload the sql scripts to your characters DB. so...
Find the MaNGOS SQL updates and you need to 'Restore from backup' using SqlYog to your characters DB. This will get you started
    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PP3T0HFG
If you upgraded from 5953 to 6765 for example, you will start with the text file that says '5955_characters_guild_eventlog.sql'. Notice that it has 'characters' in the file. The 'characters' are the only ones you need to upgrade if you did a fresh install on everything else and restored your original characters DB. So restore all the 'characters' SQl's in numerical order from your release up until your current release. I still use 2.4.3 and I am not sure if 3.x.x uses different MaNGOS DB files (I dont think it does). Good luck.
