    Hi!

First of all, thanks for an excellent server program. The work you have done is amazing, with a result veeeery close to the Blizzard experience...

Choosing the lastest version, I have also chosen the most buggy version (as it is with every software). The bugs I have discovered so far are:

    1) NPC Warlock pets are skull in lvl, with the warlock being my lvl.

    2) Clipping. Mobs can see and run through walls. This is especially a problem in instances, and is also apparent when some random mobs walk around a bit through the ground

    3) AH bot not working. I am not sure wether AH bot is in this version at all; No options for setting up AH is shown during setup, and mangosd.conf has no trace of the settings. I have tried using every guide I can find on this topic, but to no avail.

    4) Instances are not resetting after choosing "reset instances" from character portrait in game.

    5) Looting veins/chests. When looting chests and mineral veins, about 5% of them cant be looted; No loot window pops up.

Do any of you have some info on the bugs mentioned above?

    See this thread:

    http://forums.reaper-x.com/topic/scripted-events-not-functioning-properly

Reaper isn't actually responsible for most of these errors, he's simply putting together the latest release of MaNGoS so that you don't have to compile it yourself. Well there's more to it than that, but it's mostly to do with the MaNGoS team anway.

    3) For some reason Colt45 left the Auction Bot out of this release, it should be back in the next version hopefully.

    4) If you go into the characters.instance table you can simply delete the entries to reset the instance, so go outside the instance and quit WoW & the server, then delete the entries in the table and restart the programs, problem solved. You can use the GM command (hit enter and type) .respawn but I find that it doesn't always reload the enemies properly.

Thank-you IntErlOpr, appreciate the input. Line 4 would be great stuck in an "info" sticky post about helpful tips.

BlizzardWannabe --- don't expect anything near retail. On point 2 in your above post, do you have LOS maps enabled or disabled ?

    IntErlOpr:
Thanks a lot for the input; I really hope AH bot will be included in next release. Answer 4 helped a lot :)

    Remar:
I know the development work in Mangos has been massive, and am in no way expecting retail functionality. Actually, I am impressed with how close the server is to "the real thing" :) . Regarding my LOS; mangosd.cfg reads:

    vmap.enableLOS = 0

I hadn't actually noticed that Blizz so cheers, enableLOS & enableHeight as it says are supposed to be enabled by default but they aren't (in 6245). Used to the slightly dodgy calculations so it never occured to me to check it, but yes they should be changed to 1.

Actually in addition to my post above you don't actually have to quit WoW to reset the instances as you may have realized, only logout of the account (back to the username/password screen) and quit & reload the server. I also should have mentioned that in addition to not always respawning enemies properly, the respawn command doesn't seem to reset the loot tables properly either. So yeah removing the entries from the table is the way to go.

While i'm at it there's also a bug in MaNGoS related to looting in general, if you try to loot a corpse/chest/vein etc from a distance it will let you attempt from further away than you should be able to so the attempt will fail. This has the unfortunate side effect of occasionally changing it's status to busy even though you haven't looted it, and therefore making it impossible to loot. So do it from up close to avoid this.

wow.. didn't know that last bit of info IntErlOpr, thank-ya again. I thought something was dodgy about the loot after re-spawning mobs.

BlizzardWannabe -- yup IntErlOpr is correct -- set your LOS and height to = 1 It won't fix all the funny things mobs do, but it helps.
