    FIRST
1: Install Reaper's MaNGOS version whatever you like. BUT make note of install
    directory.

    NEXT
Google and install xampp. The only steps for this that I would say are to

    1: pick your installation directory
2: make note of install directory...and I mean exact location "drive:\example\example"

Next you will have 2 things to do after this installs itself.

1: Following your install directory, Google mysql, and install the newest version
    to drive:\example\xampp\mysql

1a: Setting up your MySQL is easy, install it to the above specified directory and
set yourself a user name and password and remember it , you need it for
    everything!!!!!

2: Following your install directory, Google apache, and install the newest version
    to drive:\example\xampp\apache

3: Do the same (google PhP) and install the latest version to drive:\example\xampp\php

NOTE: This will install not only the newest version of the programs in question to
your hard drive, this will also install the control panel for the appropriate
programs and they will ensure the whole setup works.

    NEXT

1: Create a folder on your desktop and name it "downloads", then follow
    Bryansthl's links to...and I quote

"Next go to the following link and create an account to the the
following forum so you can access all the content.
    http://www.mangosproject.org/forum/

After you create an account at the MaNGOS forum click on the link below.

    http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads
download the tortieSVN and install it.Right click on the download folder on your
desktop, then click on SVN checkout. paste this link in it
    http://tools.assembla.com/svn/mangosweb/trunk

It will then start pulling down the MaNGOS web."

Note that post was edited slightly.......

2: Select the "download" folder when it is done downloading (100 mb, 2 mins or less
    at my connection).

3: Then paste it in your drive:\example\xampp\htdocs

4: Rename the download directory you just pasted in drive:\example\xampp\htdocs to
WEB. So now your website is located on your computer at
    drive:\example\xampp\htdocs\WEB

next post next steps....lol... this is taking forever

    are not done.

1a: Type in http:/youripaddress/xampp , your new xampp control panel will come up, follow the directions for locking it down. OR everyone on the web can access it.

1: If you installed in the order specified you will already have all the tools needed
to run your world. You will need your MySQL name and password if you are going to
use the link for PhPAdmin in your xampp control panel. This interface will allow you
to edit your database and table.

2: Run the reaper-eazy-mangos.exe again, this time selecting the option that says
something like "Make playable for LAN"

2a: When the reaper install ask for LAN IP put your real world...i.e.. outside ip
address there. With name and other info you pick.

1: With your xampp control panel locked down and your ports forwarded your almost ready,
all you have to do is.....

1a: Go to your xampp control panel, select the PhPAdmin (or whatever it is) link on
the lower left side. It will ask you for a name and password, this is your MySQL
name and password ( name = root "default" pw = whatever_you_supplied)

1b: You will now (or should) see all of your Databases on the left. Select your
RealmD database. Then select your "account" table, click on it and select the
    tab browse.

1c: Now make note of your account's ID number.

1d: Then click click on the "account_extend" table on the left and "browse it", and using your account ID #, click on the EDIT feature in your account ID line and change your G_ID to 4 , and save or update. ( Field G_ID to a value of 4 )

NOTE: this will allow you to use admin features on your website.

where : MySQL_username = ..duh.. what you told MySQL
MySQL_password = ..duh.. what you told MySQL
3306 = should be one of the ports you forwarded
127.0.0.1 = your "inside" network address

forgot to tell you guys to add the extra tables to MySQL.

With your command line for MySQL open - use the command SOURCE and type in the directory structure for the files full_install.sql and account_pass.qsl

    EXACTLY
    source drive:\example\xampp\WEB\sql\full_install.sql

    AND
    source drive:\example\xampp\htdocs\WEB\sql\extra_install\account_pass.sql

when you back-up your realm make sure to copy drive:\example\mysql\data\...... all of the following folders - mangos + realmd + characters.. (the last is most important), to another folder when you update.
