    Hi guys,

I have been looking for a way to set up an AH bot for my server using the current Reaper-x Trinity repack. Does anyone have an idea on how I could get my AH up and running? It would be a real help as I only have 3 players on a home network so without the AH it is a bit hard :(

    cheers,

What you need to do is first
-Create a new account dedicated for the Auction House
-Create a character using that account (I just named mine "Auction")
-Login with that character once / logout
-Go into your database files using Navicat or SQLyog to 'Characters -> characters' and try to find the newly created Auction character. Remember the GUID number, and the ACCOUNT number
-Go into your mangos.conf file and in the auction house section, input your GUID and ACCOUNT for the newly created "Auction" character. This character will now act as a bot that will load the AH with stuff, remember the character does not need to be logged in for this to work.
-Also in your mangos.conf file in the Auction section, find where it says something like Alliance Items = 0, or Horde Items = 0. Change those numbers to lets say, 5000. Then that number of items will be constantly loading.

There are many more auction house features you can find in that .conf file, just play around with it and have fun.

    Hope that helps

    Hi daggo,

unfortunately I am using the reaper-X trinity repack and it does not have an AH section in the trinity.conf (well certainly not one that I can find).

I am new to running a server, this being my first so I am learning. I guess it is time to try compiling mangos from scratch, though I have not had a successful attempt yet.....

    cheers.

    Hi.
Check trinity forum for info, but I think AH bot is not supported yet.
But, here is a thread about a patch that should fix that temporarily (until they completely rewrite it, as it seems):

    BmmB,

thanks the thread you supplied does give a good idea that it should work under trinity. Only thing is I have never compiled before (my first server) and the thread indicates you need to rebuild, how do I do that if I am using the Reaper-X repack?

    cheers,

Well, you need to build it on your own, meaning your built repack will be yours not Reaper's :-D
You can't really update already built core (well, technically you can, but that's another story). You should go to that site again and look for all guides how to build trinity core under windows. If you can't find them just do the search or ask. There you can find it explained in details.
It's actually very simple if you strictly follow those guides, even if you're not tech savvy person.

Ok so I have been searching for a decent hotwo and I have decided to give this one a go http://getmangos.com/community/showthread.php?t=228 Now I am guessing that as it is a generic Mangos server that the Trinity version will be different and I won't be able to use my current database?

If this is the case do you know of a good howto for a Trinity version?

    cheers,

I'm the only one on my server, I found it was easier to add items I wanted access to to vendors in-game.
If you're interested in this find the item id by typing .lookup item xxxxx
Then target the npc vendor you want to add it to and type .npc additem #####

Example .lookup item super healing potion will give an id of 22829
then .npc additem 22829 will add it to the vendor.

.npc delitem ##### will remove an item from a vendor

I created a vendor with alot of the hard to acquire items for crafting.

I also used navicat to modify the prices of the items to be around the same price as the auction house.

    Hope this helps

    @womble

You should check trinity core forums:

    home: http://www.trinitycore.org/forum/index.php

and here are some links I already know:

    http://www.trinitycore.org/forum/f6/the-complete-guide-to-trinity-core-t335.html

    http://www.trinitycore.org/forum/f6/how-to-setup-trinity-and-trinity-db-t334.html

    http://www.trinitycore.org/forum/f2/official-info-thread-t62.html

    http://www.trinitydatabase.org/

You should always first check the trinity forums for everything you need. If you can't find it there, then just ask on the forum.

    Best regards...

    Problem status: ReSolved!

    everything we need are just:

    2.Update data base
    3.setting up the AH bot
    4.Done!

    Thanks everyone!! :)
