I read a post by a dev out at mangos forum and he stated they are waiting for blizzard to release version 4.2.2 witch will have the fixs for the bugs. So its going to be some time. Set back and relax.

Reaper wont be putting ot his repack untill mangos supports 4.2.x

Everyone is itching to test out Sunwell stuff. Trust me. But there are a lot of changes, and bugs in 2.4.0 and 2.4.1. Will Reaper wait until 2.4.2? Maybe. He's been known to release stuff even though a patch is imminent and he usually will poll the group to see if they want to wait or not.

Until he comes out and says what he's doing or what he has time to do you'll need to check back here daily just like the rest of us.

umm... 4.2.2 will be the expansion pack after WotLK, so i think what hes trying to say is 2.4.2.

According to a post someone else posted up here Mangos now supports 2.4.1.

So now all we have to do is wait for reapers repac. Good news indeed.

Mangos may support 2.4.1 But DBs dont... not yet
UDB team will first release one more 2.3.3 DB update
and then start milestone 0.10.0 (2.4 DB)
So i guess we have to w8 a few more days...

UDB and Silver moon are still working on data base. Mangos will work with 2.4.1 but some spells won't work and trainers don't work. So I'm sure reaper won't make the repack until data base is released.

Well, Project Silvermoon has already released Binaries (beta, of course) but nothing from the Unified Database project... :( ManGOS released updates, so be sure to hit up their website and @least download it while the server isn't slammed. After UDB or PSDB are fully compatible, it's gonna be slammed. :p

And, just a little sidenote. I'm starting my own Db Project, the official thread is here: http://forums.reaper-x.com/topic/a-little-announcement?replies=1#post-4595 link it, and keep an eye out for a beta release in a month or so.

You could go out to the mangos forum and learn how to compile your own. I got setup with the nesassary tools and learned how to compile in 1 day. It realy isn't that difficult. Plus you won't have to ever wait for a repack again.

I really want to just do this myself but im kinda of confused. Could you point me in the right direction maybe with a link to where you at least dowloaded the tools to get your own up and running. I've been trying to search there boards for anything relating to the latest version of the client 4.1 but im coming up with nothing. I found a few guides however.

Do you need to compile then do the install?

Also if you have the latest version of reapers repack running do you need to start from scratch or is there a way to avoid that and update using mangos?

Thanks in advance. I'll keep searching on my own in the meantime.

If you go here http://www.mangosproject.org/forum/ and register an account.
Then go here it gives step by step for compiling http://www.mangosproject.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=7679
I found it rather easy to learn. You just have to give it a chance.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to try and figure it out once I get some time. I have an account on the mangos project forums. I was doing some reading there yesterday. I'll figure it out eventually. For me it's not that it's to difficult to actually do. The difficult part is finding the time to devote to doing it.

    Thanks again for the reply!
