If I understand you correctly. FAMILY you want it to be able to connect to LARI or LEE upon choice. If LARI is turned on, of course it should connect, that is the IP ADDRESS in the REALMLIST.WTF file. If you want FAMILY to connect to LEE, you need to change the REALMLIST.WTF file to LEEs IP.

If FAMILY only connects to LARI, I do not see what you mean the problem is.

Also, please answer these questions:

Who all plays on LEE WoW Server? Just LEE? Or outside users as well?
Who all plays on LARI WoW Server? Just LARI and FAMILY? Or outside users as well?

Ok so your network diagram is set like this? Correct me if I am wrong.
Family = realmlist [192.168.x.x] <--directed to Lari (server)
Lari = MaNGOS server w/ realmlist set to [127.0.0.1] or localhost
Lee = MaNGOS server w/ realmlist set to [127.0.0.1] or localhost

If Lee is running off his own server than localhost is just fine. you really cant block your loopback address unless you specifically set your rules to do so.
Check Lee's mangos.conf file and see where the databases are directed to. Check the username and pass to make sure it is correct. Check if your database names are correct.
Make sure when you installed mysql that you chose to include bin paths. read the tuts carefully to see if you overlooked anything small you may have missed.

There might be a conflict with the localhost.. if the realmlist to your servers are 127.0.0.1 then there probably conflict between the 2 servers.

the ports are forwarded properly. i have not tried connecting with the lari computer off. when i tried connecting from the family computer it went straight to the lari computer login. when i turned off the mangos and realmd on the lari computer, the family computer could not connect to the lee computer.

If you followed the proper steps in the setup manual you will need to make sure your ports are forwarded properly and that all your files(mangosd.conf, realmd.conf and scriptdev2.conf) are all set up properly.

Hi People,

Since you were so helpful last time, I thought I would try and bug you for more help.
My home setup is 3 computers connected with a router. We'll call them family, Lari and Lee, since that is what they are. on the Lari computer i have a working (beautifully) private server. on the family computer it is set up to access and play off the lari server. my friend lee wants to run his own copy of mangos off his computer. we set it up and found no problems, everything runs without errors and the port checks state the ports are open however when we run WoW it can't connect. any ideas on how we can fix this? i suspect it is a port issue, but am pretty new at this.
