I haven't tried to spawn objects in WoW for a while, so i've pretty much forgotten the fundementals.

I believe if you try and look for gm commands that deal with object spawning (eg .lookup object), you may be able to spawn whatever you wish.

I'm not sure of the answer to your second question, since Blood Elf is a horde character, so that'll require some editing of the world db.

II work with a fellow who posts here as wrath and he turned me on to this site. My goal was simple, I stopped playing WoW over a year ago but my wife and my grandson still wanted to play.

I grabbed the code from Erytheia's post-- http://www.reaper-x.com/2009/06/30/erytheia-trinity-core-repack-release-v1-for-wow-313/ .. it was a beautiful thing. I had a 3.1.3 server fired up in a day or so. Absolutely outstanding work.

Then I decided I wanted to run the retail (3.2.2a) client ... so I put this together--

http://www.evoguild.net/ftp/lipsPack.rar

No fancy install or launch scripts .. it's just a compiled version of Mangos and the compatible DB files to make it go. I did grab some GM Island stuff but what I have looks to be old (but it works) and I included the tools to get maps, dbc, vmaps files etc. from the client as well.

I have been screwing with this less than a week so I probably cannot provide much support, the stuff in the download works for me on WinXP ... your mileage may vary ... no warranties are stated nor implied ... offer void in the State of Dementia.

I don't feel comfortable ranting about the state of this stuff yet. I have no history ... I don't give a rat's ass if Trinity Core is better than Mangos or which DB is 'right'. The one thing I will say is that everything I see so far is Blizz IP ... people can delude themselves that they are skirting the issue by not associating with a db or whatever but that is mental masturbation and ultimately bullshit. Write your own game and sell it or give it away and you have something. Create code I can download where I can login and visit Stormwind or Ironforge and you are stomping on Intellectual Property .. whether or not there are npcs there doesn't mean a damn thing.

Hi!

I'm using the Erytheia Trinity Core Repack Release V1 for WoW 3.1.3. First of all, thank you for putting it together.

I am new at running a private server. What I'd like to know is: how can I add an item to the world in a specific place, and make it interactable? For example, I'd like to make a door that a character can walk up to and open (by right-clicking). Or a chair that a character can walk up to, right-click, and sit down in.

Also other stuff--like copying an NPC, and making it into a playable character (using its model, colors, and clothing).

Also, let's say I have a blood elf character, but I'd like to be able to log in as it and walk around in Alliance cities without the guards aggroing. How can I flag that character so that Alliance NPCs don't aggro it?

If you can direct me to a place where I can find out how to do stuff like this, please let me know!

Thanks!

Problem is - My data directory for unknown reasons has no localization folder, that is, in /data/ I have no enUS folder.. The data folder itself has files.. So..

Hey all.. So yea.. A long time ago I dabbled with WowEmu, the one that ran on 1.7.1 / 1.8.0 back in the day. It functioned, but just barely.

I've been reading up lately, thinking of giving it another shot. Seemed reaper-x's repacks were some of the best, but also see he's not doing em anymore. I need help, and the best, most logical thing to do I think is just drop some q's:

1. Anything is great, long as it works better than that original one I mentioned earlier. I'm guessing "newest" is always the best round here. Would ya'll recommend reapers last (5472) I think it is), or something like the Trinity 3.1.3?

2. Tied into to #1. I actually d/led the reaper5472 last night. Problem I'm running into is I cannot find these exact versions. Like I said.. I've got 1.8.0 installed currently, can't get the proper maps/files extracted from it, of course. Yet - No where, in internet searches can I find a 5472 release. It says on his site 5472 the 2.3.3 wow release.. Yet, other sites say 2.3.3 is like.. 7799, FAR from 5472.. So that leaves me with exactly NO idea what to get my client patched to. Reaper - If you're reading this (or anyone else who likes to help people) Your site rox for setup, your script/install sequence is top-notch. But you guys all leave the client side in the dark. Years ago, there used to be a wow patch repository - Site is still run, but no files, allegedly due to Chinese Hackers?? He offers a link to the 'latest' patches, but nothing like what I need.
Like I said, I really don't care what version I run - I just need something that has a server with a version of patch that is downloadable and therefore installable for my wow client I don't know what 5472 was, but there isn't a single reference of it anywhere in terms of release notes or downloads. Can someone help a (sorta) n00b?
